Psychosynthesis Development Map: your information

Who is responsible?

Matthew Gorner is responsible for your Map information. To withdraw consent, request deletion or raise a privacy request, email withdrawal@matthewgorner.com. For general participant support, email developmentmap@matthewgorner.com or use the contact page on the main website.

What is the Map?

The Map is a self-reflection tool for personal development, designed around psychosynthesis. It is not a diagnosis, psychotherapy or crisis-support service. It is for people aged 18 or over who ordinarily live in the UK and are in the UK while completing it.

You do not have to take part. Submitting an assessment does not guarantee a report. Submissions are not monitored continuously. Matthew checks Map requests once each business weekday, excluding bank holidays, while available. During planned absences of up to one week he checks withdrawal requests only on those days; routine work and report review wait until his return. New intake is paused before planned absences.

What information is used?

The form asks for your name, email address, age range, questionnaire answers, written reflections and participation declarations. Your answers may reveal sensitive information about your mental health, wellbeing, relationships or spiritual experiences.

Your record also includes submission and consent details, calculated results, patterns, suggested pathways, wellbeing review findings, draft/report text and internal review and processing records.

Separate website, security and service logging has not yet been fully established.

Please describe your experiences without naming other people or including details that could identify them. Avoid unnecessary identifying details about yourself, such as addresses, phone numbers or workplace names.

Why is it used, and how does AI help?

Your information is used to calculate your results, decide whether developmental feedback is appropriate, prepare and review feedback, and communicate with you about your assessment and any approved report. The intended basis is your consent, including explicit consent for sensitive psychological information.

Fixed rules calculate scores, patterns, pathways and wellbeing review routes. Some answers require further review or prevent a developmental report. AI cannot change those rules or decisions.

Selected calculated results, patterns, pathway information, wellbeing classification/review route and fourteen written reflections are sent to OpenAI’s API to help draft feedback. The current request builder does not select your name, email address, age range, individual wellbeing-question answers or private human review notes as inputs. Written reflections can still identify you or other people; they are not guaranteed to be anonymous or automatically redacted.

Matthew reviews every report before release and may edit or withhold the draft. Internal reviewer notes are excluded from the participant report. An approved report goes to the email address you supply. Please use an address you control and check it carefully.

Who else is involved?

Hostinger hosts the website and its website backups. Titan provides the email service supplied through Hostinger. OpenAI processes the information sent for drafting. Withdrawal, deletion and related privacy requests are handled manually through the dedicated email address. A minimal administrative log records assessment references, request and completion dates, status and outstanding tasks in a protected local spreadsheet, separately from website backups. Please do not include assessment answers, reports or other sensitive personal information in a privacy request.

Matthew is the sole routine operator and report reviewer. A designated closure administrator is intended to help arrange closure and secure handling if Matthew cannot act. That role is limited to administrative information and does not include reviewing reports or continuing the assessment service.

Overseas processing and supplier copies

Some processing and storage may take place outside the UK. A UK website server does not establish that all supplier processing stays in the UK. Supplier copies may be retained separately from Matthew’s active assessment records.

The exact overseas-processing information, applicable safeguards and supplier-retention details have not all been confirmed. No UK-only processing, guaranteed provider deletion or completed contractual or transfer review is claimed. Contact Matthew about the information currently available; this is not a promise that every supplier question has been answered.

How long is information kept?

The adopted policy is to keep identifiable assessment answers, associated results, draft/final reports and associated assessment email copies controlled by Matthew for no more than 90 days from submission, and delete earlier when no longer needed. Review, editing and report delivery do not restart that clock. Withdrawal also requests deletion through the supported procedure.

Website deletion does not remove every email or supplier copy. Information may remain in backups until they expire. The account currently lists daily backups, but a fixed expiry for every relevant backup has not been verified; there is no promise that all copies disappear after six weeks or on day 90.

Minimal deletion-reference notes are removed once the request is resolved and no relevant backup can restore the deleted assessment. A report already delivered to your own mailbox or device is under your control; the Map cannot recall it.

Withdrawing consent and raising concerns

You can withdraw consent or request deletion by emailing withdrawal@matthewgorner.com. You do not need to give a reason. Withdrawal also requests deletion through the supported procedure. I handle requests manually and will confirm the actual outcome. Further consent-based processing must stop as soon as possible after withdrawal; information already sent cannot be recalled. Work already in progress may need separate checking. Withdrawal before completion may prevent a report being prepared or delivered, and does not change the lawfulness of earlier processing.

You can ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy where applicable. Rights depend on the circumstances. You can also ask Matthew about the scoring or interpretation, or raise a concern about how your information is handled. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

If serious and immediate danger actually comes to a human reviewer’s attention, limited information may need to be shared under a separate, individually considered safeguarding procedure. A wellbeing answer or classification alone does not authorise contact or disclosure. This is not continuous monitoring or a promise of emergency intervention.
